Born in Switzerland, Laurent Huguelit studied philosophy, literature and art history at the University of Neuchâtel. After his studies, he travelled mostly in Mexico where he could work for a NGO in the Chiapas jungle, and in India. Back to Switzerland, he published two books inspired by his journeys and worked as an editor for the national Swiss media company. “Libérer l’esprit” (2003), an essay on Vipassana, the historical buddhist meditation technique, and “Le Tao et l’éthique naturelle” (2005), a book on poetry inspired by Lao-Tsi’s Tao Te Ching.
The practice of shamanism and healing techniques has always been strong in his family and in 2007, he founded « L’Outre-Monde » a centre for shamanic practice and healing in the Jura mountain range of Switzerland. He also works for a NGO whose purpose is the preservation of shamanic cultures, mostly in Peru, Ecuador and Mexico. Since 2008, he has been teaching workshops for the Foundation in the French-speaking countries of Europe.
