MMag. Marlies Haas

Grown up in a family of farmers and politicians near Graz, Austria, Marlies Haas developed a strong, mythical connection to nature, animals and plants already at an early age.

Having completed studies in ethnology and art history as well as two teacher trainings, she worked as an art teacher at a grammar school for many years. In addition, she was involved in adult and teacher training, and, as a subject chairperson, held advisory as well as leading positions at the federal level and in the cultural policy of her province of residency.

Her approach to shamanism was initially theoretical, researching and investigating. A longer stay in Nepal and formative journeys to Siberia (Altai, Lake Baikal / Olkhon) strengthened the desire and inner call to personally experience and live shamanism. Marlies Haas is Guest Faculty Member since April 2022 and will teach Basic workshops in Styria.
